The first thing to say about Arsenal is that they are one of the games biggest clubs. They have a large budget and quality players to start with. They are very capable of winning plenty of major trophies in the first years. We would be looking to add depth at the back, and maybe bring in even more promising youngsters to secure the teams future.

We would be looking to strengthen in the deep lying midfield area as Arteta and Rosikcy are both starting to decline as players, despite starting off rated as 80. We would put one of these (or both) on the transfer list to raise even more cash for the purchasing of players and scouts. Plus because they are on big wages, you can adjust your budget to give you more transfer funds once they are sold. This means you can bring in younger players on cheaper wages. Adding greater depth to your squad and younger legs. Players we would be looking to target for this midfield area are as follows;

Paul Pogba-The man at Juventus can do it all in midfield and has youth on his side. He will be a stalwart in your team for years and grow in ability as your young Gunners side does.

Youri Tielemans- 17 and rated 73 says it all. This man is another all conquering player in midfield, and with all the competitions Arsenal are in, will gets plenty of game time without being thrust straight into the first team picture.

Marco Verratti- The ultimate young play maker from deep on the pitch, he is perfect for the Arsenal style of ball retention and fluid, incisive passing. May be pricey to get him off PSG but if you can raise the cash is well worth it.

There are plenty of others you can choose on the market, so have a look around at your favourites, but you can’t go far wrong with these players.

Next up you need to deal with the centre back situation at Arsenal. They are short in depth and need support badly. Mertesacker is rated your best defender, but is very slow on the turn. Some pace at the back is crucial. Here are three we would look at.

Matija Nastasic- The young Manchester City player is the perfect understudy. He will develop quickly, and can be picked up on the cheap.

Sokratis-The lightning quick Greek is the perfect man to mop up behind the aerially dominant Mertesacker. He is also a fantastic tackler, although he will be the most expensive option on this list.

Phil Jones-Manchester United’s man at the back is available for about £11 million and is a strong option. Versatile and young enough to develop very high marks, if you want an English spine to your team, he is your man.

You may want to consider bringing in two centre backs as, you will need four at the club to properly compete. A great option is signing both Jones and Nastasic, which will offer great cover and competition for the future.

Other player like Flamini and Diaby may also want to be moved on to make room for some young guns you can either sign, or bring in from the academy. If you manage to move on the fringe players, or any of your established names, some quality cheap options to bring in include;

Leon Goretzka
James Ward-Prowse
Tonny Vilhena
Ahmed Musa
Zakaria Bakkali

Once you have signed your players this is the system we would be looking to line up with. It stays true to Arsenal’s open and free flowing style, while putting your best player in their best positions.  It is a 4-2-3-1.

GK- Sczezesny

RB-Debuchy
RCB-Koscielny
LCB-Mertesacker
LB-Gibbs

LCM-Wilshire

LW-Sanchez

ST-Welbeck

This line up develops your young players like welbeck, Ramsey and Wilshire but still remains very strong. Ramsey and Wilshire need to be the core of your team for the future and can have a massive impact on where your club goes. That could be through developing then selling them on, or having them in your team for years. You also will have strength on the bench, and also the option of bringing Giroud on if you need to go long when chasing the game.

Next up this is the team we would be looking to play in Europe and cup games, You can also rotate these players in to keep the first team squad fit. We have deployed the same system.

This will make sure your young guns get game time, while still offering a quality and competitive looking team, to bring success in Europe and the cup.

You can move on other fringe players such as Podolski and Campbell, maybe bringing in a quality winger but other priorities are more pressing. That is something we would very much look to be doing as a priority in the second season of the game.

There is much more you can do to ensure success with your Arsenal team, in terms of scouting in your academy and how to spot the best young talent. As well as  negotiating the cheapest transfer prices. Not to mention how to bring the young lads in the ranks through in the quickest way possible. We would suggest investing heavily in the academy players if you manage Arsenal.
